Near the end of February, we celebrated the city’s creative talent and intersectional stories in Berlin’s Kino Moviemento. A total of six teams participated, exploring topics from transphobia on public transportation to Afrofuturism and community care. The rules were simple: In 48 hours, each team had to create a film using one prop (a BVG ticket), one action (manifesting solidarity), and one theme (resilience). At the viewings on February 25 and 26, we laughed, we cried, and we came together to champion our hometown heroes.
Browse a selection of the photos from the screenings at Kino Moviemento below, and be sure to stay tuned for OTV’s next season, which will include all participating films from the Brave Futures Film Race in Berlin.
